New Orleans Based PR Firm Takes on Birmingham Fashion Designer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Orleans (Nov. 7, 2011)Uptown PR , a public relations and marketing firm based in New Orleans teams up with Birmingham-based fashion design Heather Williams to promote her line, Tallulah’s Designs.

Tallulah’s Designs focuses on women’s apparel with conservative and eclectic touches. Each piece is made from vintage and reclaimed materials and sold at a contemporary price point. Williams designs and makes the garments herself and takes orders to custom make her designs to fit her discerning clientele.

Her company also plans to work with nonprofit organizations in several countries in Africa and teach widows and orphans how to sew scarves and other garments. The products will then be sold, and 100 percent of the revenue will go back to the African communities.

"I am delighted to bring my design point of view to the public while also giving back to international communities," said Heather Williams, owner of Tallulah's Designs. "Sewing and fashion has always been passions of mine, and now I can take that passion and translate it into contributing to African villages' economies."

"I sought Uptown PR's services since they have such great experience with fashion PR, both throughout the Southeast and nationally and with national brands, and I am delighted to have them represent Tallulah's Designs."

Interns will be expected to contact media to request press kits and complete media lists.

Events

Novices may be expected to attend events on behalf of the organization by accompanying a manager or marketing liaison.
